#GoTheDist August 2016

aka QUIT FREAKING OUT. Maybe in bold, all caps I’ll actually listen to myself. So I had a freak out at the end of July about August’s travel and fretting over 280 vs. 300K and shooting for 900K. August’s total? 325,874 steps. Thank you two insane days in Colorado and a couple good here when… Read More »

2016 Q1 in Books

I’ve nailed 2016 steps wise, how about books? Specifically my #2016TBR challenge. Through the end of March I’ve read 30/75 books which Goodreads designates as 11 books ahead of schedule. Of those, 25 count toward the TBR challenge. I’m pretty happy with both of those numbers and I’ve since finished another that counts toward… Read More »

2015 Home Stretch: Reading

so I realized today that at the end of 2014 I said I wouldn’t read 54 books again. About that. I’ve read 88 so far. That is, in a word, insane. 11.5 books this month is going to be hard with work eating the first half, but I’m going to push hard. I really want… Read More »

FInal June totals: 347,231 steps 143.14 miles walked 42.68 miles biked Final Q2 totals: 1,027,142 steps 422.97 miles walked 85.43 miles biked I… Read More »

Q1 Update: 2015 Alphabet Soup Challenge

With one quarter of the year about gone, I’ve read 24 books! Yep, my no crap before Memorial Day went out the window, but oh well, it’s reading. I’ve also left 17 unfinished. I’m in very good shape to knock out the challenge with only the following letters remaining:   E J L O Q… Read More »

book’em messy shelves

AKA two friends’ organized shelves make me feel guilty. I really don’t read dead tree books all that often and I had some that I’ve long since replaced with e-books.  Speaking of books, I’ve upped the ante on the A-Z challenge. I’m going to try for two loops through the alphabet. With 11 books… Read More »
