Fascia fighting Friday

So I have two pair of running shoes. One that were new models of the regular sneakers I’ve been wearing forever (always preferred to walk in running shoes) and one I’ve been properly fit for. Any guesses as to which Keep Running

Sunday Funday Rebound Runday

I (sort of) meant what I said when I didn’t care about yesterday’s time. I was more about the photos and the experience and in the humidity/with the stairs, walking was smart move. But it bothered me that the first Keep Running

RunTheYear / GoTheDist 2017 Halfway Point

Whooah, we’re half way there…Take my hand and we’ll make it, I swear…Livin’ on a prayer It seems like just yesterday I was setting my 2017 goals and now we’re at the year’s halfway mark. I thought I had a Keep Running

14,793

Mini update time. 14,793. That’s the average step count of my current 31 day Fitbit goal streak that dates back to March 15, the day after a snow day.  I hadn’t realized the streak was so long and only went Keep Running

March 2017: I ran away from “I can’t”

yep. That’s what happens when #GoTheDist meets #RunTheYear/#RunWithJoy Earlier this month I said: “I’m taking a run at my Q1 2016 goal. Probably impossible, but worth a try.” My Q1 2016 total? 1,008,946 My Q1 2017 total? 1,064,082 That is Keep Running

40,000 steps

In. One. Day. It’s not my personal best. That honor still goes to the Saunter. But it’s my best since that day and was also a product of Shorewalkers. The thing I’m most proud about? Nearly 6 of these miles Keep Running

#GoTheDist: February 2016

Much like I had a mega day in January 2016 and February 2015, I had one in February 2016. A 30K day, to be exact. That helped me counter a few lower days and one 1500 step day (sick day). Keep Running

#GoTheDist 2016

wasn’t I just writing out the goals for 2015? For more reasons than this challenge, this year has gone by in a flash. It’s somewhat bizarre to be writing up 2016 goals before wrapping 2015 but a) I’m traveling for Keep Running

#GoTheDist 4.1

While I finished the month strong-ish, it wasn’t quite enough to hit my September goals.   292,984 steps walked 120.4 miles walked If I’d realized I was that close I’d have taken 16 more steps for 293K. I actually realized Keep Running

sometimes, not making goal is OK

about that 333,333K July step goal and second attempt at one million steps? Not happening. And that’s not my usual pessimism speaking either.  I realized it back in July but thought I might have a chance at making it up Keep Running
